<p>AGRO-INDUS mixed flow dryer produce the best quality grains because of its continous mixing effect. The inlet and outlet ducts can be placed in alternating so that cross flow, concurrent flow and counter flow of the air can be achieved within one dryer. In our mixed flow dryer, the grain is permanently being mixed while it passes the drying section and thus a moisture gradient cannot develop. Therefore, it is considered as the most optimal solution for producing top quality rice. The design also allow drying at higher temperature (above 60-70 or even 80 degree C for wet paddy), thus drying time could be shorten greatly, yet able to dry very evenly, if compared to competitors&#8217; cross flow dryer.</p>
<p>Whereby, in our competitors&#8217; cross flow dryer, the grains are not mixed while they are passing the drying section and being exposed to the hot drying air. This means that a moisture gradient develops in the drying section of the dryer. In recirculation and tempering process, this gradient is reduced because the wet and dry grains are mixed while they are being conveyed and subsequently moisture transfer happens from the wetter to the dryer grains. This process in not optimal. In addition, the hot air, which is blown from one side could cause overheated on one side and uneven drying may happen. The design of competitors&#8217; dryer has also making it unable to dry paddy at higher temperature, otherwise may cause overdried or uneven drying. As a result, this kind of dryer may reduced head rice yield greatly. And uneven drying may even cause discoloration of rice &amp; mold development.</p>

<p>Many have tried to use fludise bed dryer or so called &#8220;flash dryer&#8221; for drying paddy. Yet, resulting in great losses, due to producing high broken rice. One shouldn&#8217;t use the fluidise bed dryer for drying paddy from 30% or 26% MC straight down to 14% MC. This dryer is only good for pre-drying (e.g. taking the moisture content from &gt;30% down to 26%). Otherwise, very low head rice yield, due to extremely high temperature drying at &gt;125 degree C. Grain that is too dry may becomes brittle and has greater breakage. Moisture content and temperature during the drying process is also critical as it detemines whether small fissures and/or full cracks are introduced into the grain structure. Another good reason not the use the fluidise bed dryer for drying paddy is its tremedously high energy consumption. Just look at the motor it uses, compared to AGRO-INDUS re-circulating mixed flow dryer, as well as our continuous mixed flow dryer.</p>

The critical situation is forcing most Rice Millers to find good alternatives to diesel fuel. Todate, the rice husk has become a popular alternative to diesel. Rice Millers can now burn the rice husk to generate heat / thermal energy and then transferring them to the paddy dryers for drying paddy.</p>
<p>Earlier on, many Rice Millers found that using Hot Air Rice Husk Furnace a cheap and good solution to expansive diesel. Yet, in the end many have faced another huge problem. Rice Millers are losing even more money due to the inefficient Hot Air Rice Husk Furnace that cause the uneven drying. Many had complaint that they were producing more &#8220;red rice&#8221; than before. The unstable temperature of the Hot Air technology  has also contributed to produce more &#8220;broken rice&#8221; due to improper drying of the paddy. The more bad rice is produced = the less profit margin for the Rice Millers.</p>
<p>Today, many have found that the Hot-Water Heating Fluidised Bed Rice Husk Furnace is by far the most efficient of all. There are customers who are savings hundred thousands to million dollar on fuel a year by using them.</p>
